How to make a glitch GIF
A glitch effect makes a picture look like a broken signal: the colours split apart, strips of the image slide sideways and the screen jumps before everything snaps back. This glitch effect generator times the bursts for you, so the loop feels like real interference.

Three glitch looks
- RGB split: the red and cyan halves of the picture drift apart, bands tear sideways and thin neon lines flash across. The modern, clean glitch.
- VHS: softer, warmer colour with lifted blacks, a tracking band that rolls down the screen, noise along the bottom edge and a blinking PLAY label. The old-tape look.
- Corrupt: chunks of the picture copy themselves to the wrong place, turn into big pixels or flip colour, and one strip smears across. Like a file that didn't download properly.
Every look keeps the calm frames identical, so only the bursts add to the file size. A 400×400 glitch GIF usually fits Discord's limit easily.
Animated glitch text
